On May 6th, Helsinn, the Swiss fully integrated global biopharma company focused on improving the lives of cancer patients around the world, was honoured to host the U.S. Ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Mr. Scott Miller.

During the meeting, Helsinn Group CEO Dr. Giorgio Calderari presented the strategic vision for growth aimed at transforming Helsinn into a leading oncology company with a patient-centric approach, and shared Helsinn’s current and future activities in the United States.

Furthermore, Dr. Calderari, presented the vision of Farma Industria Ticino (FIT) and explained that Canton Ticino represents the life science valley in the heart of Europe.

Ambassador Miller was impressed to learn about the growth of the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, and by the level of economic development in recent years. One of the focus areas for FIT is vocational training. FIT Is committed to training apprentices in the following vocations: chemical and biology laboratory technicians as well as manufacturing operators.
