Lugano, 13 November 2018

Paolo Magri, Senior Vice President, Business Development at Advitech SA – an associated company of Farma Industria Ticino – has been elected to serve as President of the Board of Directors of the Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association (DCAT) beginning November 1, 2018.

Under Mr. Magri’s leadership, the Board will develop and guide the organization’s strategic plan in a manner to best serve the organization’s 500+ member companies.

DCAT’s Board of Directors is also tasked with developing strategies for the organization’s flagship event, DCAT Week. Held annually in March in New York City, DCAT Week is the premier business development event for companies engaged in pharmaceutical development and manufacturing and related industries. 92% of DCAT Week attendees are high-level decision makers from around the world who come together for business development meetings, networking opportunities and education programs.

“We are pleased to have Mr. Magri as our Board President,” said DCAT Executive Director Margaret Timony. “We rely on board members to bring innovative ideas and strategies to the table so we can continue to give our members relevant, valuable experiences across all that we offer. Mr. Magri’s passion for DCAT will undoubtedly continue to make a positive impact on our organization.”

“Mr. Magri is a longtime DCAT volunteer and brings a wealth of industry expertise and energy to the organization,” said Joe Sutton, Global Director of Sourcing for Eli Lilly and Company and DCAT’s out-going Board President. “We are fortunate to have Mr. Magri’s leadership and support as we shape our strategic plan to continue to deliver value to our member companies.”
